Women Wear Blood-Stained Kebayas

I have rarely written or posted new photos on this blog. I just posted five stories on July and August. Yes, It happens because I started focusing on photojournalism and working in Jakarta Globe, a Jakarta-based english platform news media in the last few years. After that, all of my photos are always be first-published by JG.

Today, I check my blog and feel very guilty, then I decided to start write again on this blog. Maybe I will not to post a long story or poem like I always did before. I will post my Instax photo (Instax is an instant camera by Fujifilm) once a week. During my photojournalism assingments I brought my Instax camera to photograph certain moments sometimes I gave the result to my subject or I just take it for myself. I also carry it when I attend casual events with friends. Finally,  I took a lot photos with my Instax camera.
Okay, to start this plan, I will start to showing my first instax photo here. I believe that every photo has a unique story behind so I will tell it as a short caption.

Women wear blood-stained kebayas at the National Monument, or Monas, complex in Central Jakarta during a march to protest and raise awareness about violence against women in Indonesia. This photo was taken during Women's March on Saturday (04/03) last year.
Women's March is a movement undertaken by all who concerned with gender equality, human rights and humanity issues. Not only women who participated in this march, but also men all around the world.
